IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING

CORONA VIRUS COVID 19

Thank you all for helping us maintain strict safety measures during the COVID-19 crisis.

We are now at the stage where it is possible to allow one person per family to come in to the practice with their pet for a consultation.

In order to keep everyone safe, the door will remain locked until we are in a position to allow entry for the consultation. Please ring the bell to gain attention if necessary. If you wish to remain outside whilst your pet is examined because you are in a high-risk category, please inform us at the time of booking your appointment and we will accommodate this for you. This may mean, however, that you may only be offered a morning appointment where additional nursing staff can be made available.

The provided hand sanitiser must be used before entry and again as leaving the premises and you will be required to wear your own facemask before entering. The consulting vet will also be wearing a mask to protect you and also your pet’s safety. We have installed a Perspex screen at reception and ask you to abide by our strict social distancing rules.

All these procedures, including cleaning between clients, will take more time so please continue to bear with us, as we will still need to prioritise urgent care. We are doing all we can to offer as many appointments as we can safely both for consultations and surgical procedures.

Our Approach

We always listen carefully and believe strongly in your right to choose what is best for both you and your pet. We will advise you of the nature and costs involved in any investigations and treatments.

The owner, Alistair J Poole is the principal veterinary surgeon and works in a team. Together, we are small enough for continuity to be assured, whilst still being able to offer a degree of specialisation and where required case discussions "in house".

If your pet is very severely injured or critically ill, we will always consider and advise on whether a referral to a specialist centre could be beneficial.

You will always find us to be open and straightforward about the nature of an injury or illness and as far as possible the likely outcome.
